I couldn’t bring myself to enroll my daughter in ballet. Nothing personal against ballet, ballerinas, or any readers who may have just curled their lip at me (my official disclaimer), but I am categorically opposed to the use of ozone-killing hairspray to seal a bun in place.

But if you want to go ahead and kill our planet, then by all means, put your daughter in ballet class. I’m not one to judge.
